About the role
About the team:
The Engagement tribe sits at the heart of SumUp's merchant experience, responsible for the product surfaces that 4.3 million business owners interact with every day, from the information they see about their business to the actions they take to grow it. As our Senior Product Manager, you'll own the merchant facing SuperApp end to end, a rare individual contributor role spanning product strategy, UX quality, and squad delivery, on the single surface the wider product organisation depends on to build and ship effectively. If you're looking for a role where your product decisions have a direct impact on how millions of businesses run and scale every day, this is it.
What you'll do:
- Own the end to end product experience of our SuperApp across iOS, Android and web dashboard, raising the bar on UX quality, information architecture, and navigation for the surfaces merchants rely on most
- Spot and execute activation, upsell, cross sell, and retention opportunities that measurably grow engagement and long term value for merchants
- Shape the product strategy that makes the SuperApp an essential, everyday tool for small business owners running their business globally
- Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders across the business who depend on the SuperApp to reach merchants, partnering closely with design and data on priorities
- Build strong working relationships across engineering, design, and commercial teams, turning direct merchant insight into a clear, prioritised roadmap
You'll be great for this role if:
- Track record leading a product squad end to end, from strategy through to shipped outcomes in engagement, retention, or monetisation
- Strong technical or analytical foundation, whether from an engineering background or hands on experience as a data or business analyst, with the ability to think in systems and structure ambiguous problems
- Comfort working fluently with both qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions, rather than relying on others to surface the answer
- Strong visual and UX judgement, with experience partnering closely with design and giving clear, constructive feedback
- Ability to build a well reasoned product strategy independently, without needing a dedicated research or strategy function to get there
- Experience advocating for merchants, with a track record of translating their everyday problems into practical product decisions
